Her experiences in law enforcement and as a military spouse inspire Lydia Branham to serve others with their real estate needs.
“I strive to make the home buying, selling or renting processes to be as smooth as possible for my clients,” says Lydia, an agent with Coldwell Banker Advantage in Fayetteville, N.C., home of Fort Liberty.
“To work in their best interests,” Lydia explains. “To feel comfortable with me and rest assured that I will conduct all business with professionalism, honesty and compassion.”
Lydia’s values and work ethic were nurtured while growing up on a farm in Richburg, South Carolina. She was awarded a softball scholarship to the University of South Carolina in Lancaster, where she earned an associate degree and then continued her education at USC-Columbia. She graduated with honors with a double major: psychology and criminal justice with a minor in sociology.
She completed the S.C. Criminal Justice Academy and worked for several years as a patrol deputy. “I assisted in special operations for crimes against children and undercover narcotics operations,” she says. Among the agencies she worked with were the S.C. Attorney General’s Office, Secret Service, FBI, NCIS, and Homeland Security.
Family and community have always been common threads in Lydia’s life. She now makes her home in Raeford, N.C. with her husband, a Special Forces soldier, and is a stepmom to two.
In her free time, Lydia enjoys making memories with her family, including a chocolate Lab, and visiting two horses at her parents’ home in South Carolina. She also likes to read mysteries and science fiction, cook, and ride motorcycles.
Causes close to her heart include the Green Beret Foundation and Stop Soldier
Suicide. “It’s important for me to be able to help,” she says.
